What is the tax credit program?

Some extracurricular activities—like sports, music, field trips, and after-school tutoring, cannot be fully funded by districts. In 1997, the Arizona Legislature passed a bill (ARS 43-1089.01) allowing Arizona taxpayers to contribute up to $400 for married couples filing jointly and up to $200 for single taxpayers to a public school, and then deduct that entire amount from their state tax bill. Everyone wins - taxpayers and students!

Can other family and friends contribute?

This tax credit is available to all Arizona taxpayers regardless of whether or not they have children in school. Grandma in Flagstaff can contribute; Aunt Sue in Tucson can contribute; or a college buddy who lives in Fountain Hills can contribute.

Can I give my contribution to any school?

You may indicate which school and which program you would like to support, or you can designate your money to be given to the school that has the greatest need.

How much can I give?

The amount of the tax credit you take does not have to be for the total allowable amount of $400. You can make a difference for our students with just $20, $50 or $100.

Can I give to more than one school?

Yes, you can split your contribution between schools.

Thank you for your Tax Credit Donation!

The Laveen Elementary School District students and teachers would like to thank everyone who makes an Arizona Tax Credit Donation to our schools. These donations are very important to our schools, because they provide our students with educational opportunities they would not otherwise receive.

Tax credit donations provide extracurricular activities such as sports, music, educational field trips, and after-school tutoring.

Steps to donate:

  1. Complete Tax Credit form below.
  2. Detach and mail the form with your check to the Laveen Elementary District or to one of the schools listed on the form. If you prefer, you may also pay online by clicking on the button below.
