
![]() All students in preschool through eighth grade attending Laveen Elementary District schools are expected to dress in the proper standard school attire (Policy JFCA-R). It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure compliance with the dress code. All students who attend the District schools must dress in accordance with the dress code. All students will wear the standard school clothing. The clothing may not be altered in a manner that includes, but is not limited to, slits and shredded hems. Baggy or oversized clothing is not acceptable and thus is prohibited. Clothing may not be more than one size too large, to allow for one-year’s growth. No sagging of clothing is allowed. Students may not wear short shorts, short skirts, short jumpers, sweat pants, stretch pants (skinny pants), or spandex. Belts (if worn) must be black, brown, or navy, may not be more than one (1) size larger than the waist, and must be worn around the waist. The only type of headgear permitted will be a hat, which may be worn to and from school only. For safety reasons, students are encouraged to wear covered shoes. Flip-flops, slippers, or bare feet are not acceptable. Any color socks may be worn. Full-length tights and knee-high socks/tights are acceptable for girls. Students not dressed in accordance with the District dress code will not be permitted in class until they are in compliance. |
